Between the affordable prices, the over-the-top fashion, and all the freebies you’ll get just for browsing, Korea does shopping right. Online and off, shopping is easy and efficient. But maybe reading all that Hangul gives you a headache. Maybe you’re taller, curvier or more muscular than the average Korean, or you want to inject your wardrobe with something without cute kittens or lace around the collar. Even in Seoul, with its plethora of options for every size and taste, you might want something that Korea can’t provide.

Or you might just want to shop in your underwear while drinking soju on your couch, or kill time while you’re deskwarming.  Whatever the reason, here are a few of our favorite US- and UK-based websites, all of which ship to Korea (some of them for free!)

ASOS.com– ASOS stocks men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, coats, underwear and accessories. This UK-based company has a huge variety of styles and well-known brands. ASOS has free shipping to Korea, and free return shipping, too!

MyUS.com– a third party freight company that allows you to shop from U.S. retailers that do not offer international shipping. Register with MyUS and you’ll get a personal suite number in their U.S. warehouse. Anytime you shop online, enter this address as your shipping address, and when your package arrives in your suite, MyUS will contact you via email and your package will then be shipped to your Korean address of choice. Shipping times are fast and reliable. While the rates can seem expensive, they’re fair in comparison to sites that do offer international shipping.

DSW.com– technically, DSW doesn’t ship internationally. But they do have a partnership with MyUS.com, mentioned above. If you’re registered with MyUS, you’ll get a slight discount on shipping. If you wear a wide or above-average shoe size, this can be a life-saver.

Beautybay.com– Koreans know their skin and haircare (and I love the makeup shops as much as anyone!), but if you can’t live without your favorite hair and face products, look no further than Beauty Bay. Beauty Bay has good quality, salon-brand hair products and designer makeup brands. Prices are reasonable, and shipping is free!

iHerb.com– not clothing related, but it’s just so popular among expats that it begs to be included. iHerb is the best option for ordering vitamins, supplements, pantry staples and snacks. Shipping rates change occasionally, but they generally offer $4 flat rate shipping for packages not in excess of 15 pounds. Orders shipped generally arrive in about 5 days. (Use promotional code FBF958 for $10 off your first order!)
